Lucky Orange takes visitor privacy seriously, and so should you. Now our users have a new tool to give their visitors even more control when it comes to data collected by Lucky Orange.
Let’s face it – data privacy matters now more than ever.
After all, the age of data collection in the wake of the 2017 Equifax data breach, Facebook’s current Cambridge Analytica scandal, and the EU’s fast-approaching GDPR implementation deadline thrust data security in the spotlight.
Lucky Orange has always put customer privacy as a top priority, and now we’re providing an extra layer of transparency to give visitors even more control than ever before.
What exactly is Lucky Orange?
More than 110,000 websites across the digital world utilize Lucky Orange to better understand how visitors are using their websites via dynamic heatmaps, visitor recordings, conversion funnels, form analytics, and more.
As the data is collected, website owners can then use this insight to correct broken links, improve frustrating experiences, gather helpful feedback, and enable superior sales and support conversations.
The end result is better websites, happier visitors, more customers, and an awesome online experience for all.
Privacy has always mattered
That being said, data privacy has always been a priority for Lucky Orange. From the beginning, we led the industry in protecting sensitive information from being transmitted or collected.
For example, keystroke logging for non-sensitive fields has always been handled by a double opt-in approach.
While other tools may automatically record and transmit all keystroke data within recordings, Lucky Orange replaces every character from every field on every page with asterisks before transmitting anything over the Internet.
In the case of non-sensitive fields, website owners must double opt-in to keystroke logging and manually place code on each field they would like to track thereby greatly reducing the chance of sensitive information being accidentally transmitted.
You can take this one step further with text scrambling.
When enabled, text will be scrambled randomly before recording data is sent to our servers. This scrambling adds an extra layer of protection for pages with sensitive data.
There’s just no way around it – Lucky Orange takes data security and visitor privacy seriously. We always have and always will.
Introducing: The Data Privacy Management Tool
Now we’re taking data privacy to an entirely new level.
Our team has created a convenient online tool to put visitors in control of the data collected about them.
By using this tool, visitors can see what data, such as conversations, surveys, and sessions, was collected, manage that data, and opt-out of future tracking with a click of a button.
The information is based on a Unique Identifier (UID) first-party cookie that a website using Lucky Orange sets.
To see this data management tool in action, visit https://privacy.luckyorange.com.
